To setup the AP-AC-M Ubiquiti UniFi AC Mesh AP, we would need to configure it wired to the network using a PoE switch or a PoE injector first then provision and update the firmware. Once it is adopted and the firmware is updated, we can move it to a different location and using a PoE power source, it will create a wireless mesh with the network.
During provisioning, the device should also be on the same network of the controller like the software controller on a computer or a hardware controller.
